Cisco has become one of the largest cybersecurity companies in the world.

Over the past 5 years, Cisco has grown its security portfolio through many acquisitions and developed new platforms, products, and offerings to become a serious contender in the cybersecurity space. I was responsible for various print and digital assets for the Cisco Security Design & Brand Strategy team. Our challenge was to develop and ensure a cohesive visual identity system that compliments the main Cisco brand and allows for an easy transition when acquisitions are made.

Cisco XDR launched in June 2023

I designed several net new assets for the launch of Cisco XDR which generated over 27,000 content views in the first month.

The Security Operations Simplified eBook below generated over 10,000 leads alone for the new Cisco platform.

Digital Banners & Social Media Graphics

Cisco Duo and the “Collage Style”

Duo was one of the first large acquisitions that brought Cisco into the cybersecurity space. Because of this, the Cisco Security team adopted Duo’s brand guidelines with the “Collage Style” look, using black and white photography and various shapes to tell visual stories.

Over time, we were tasked with toning down the collages and aligning Duo closer to the Cisco brand. You can see a bit of that evolution in the social and blog images that I’ve designed below.

Cisco’s Secure the Enterprise Campaign

Cisco participates in the RSA Cybersecurity Conference every year, where we display a new campaign that sets the tone for the rest of the fiscal year. The 2023 theme was “Secure the Enterprise” where our team explored the idea that Cisco protects every device by using blue “coils” as a visual representation of the protection.

Below are some of my contributions to this campaign and booth graphics for other events we attended this year.

Cisco Reimagined

Cisco Reimagined was a major website overhaul project that I was partially responsible for. The purpose was to align the Cisco Security products with the Cisco brand and bring cohesiveness to Cisco.com.

Since many Cisco products are acquisitions, they all have very different dashboards and UI’s. I worked with Product Managers to create simplified graphical user interfaces to use as permanent web banners on Cisco.com and social media, loosely based on existing dashboards.

Illustrations and graphics

Graphics and illustrations are sometimes needed to display information or tell a story and have different use cases such as Powerpoint presentations, guides or white papers, and social media. Below are a few that I made in Adobe Illustrator, carefully following Cisco colors and brand illustration guidelines.
